Isla made a guest appearance on the Anton Savage Show on Irish radio channel TodayFM today to promote Marge In Charge. She also chatted about Nocturnal Animals and Keeping Up With The Joneses. Listen below:

Isla Fisher Has Written A Children’s Book

To some she’s one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, to others she’ll always be Shannon from Home and Away but now to a whole generation of children, Isla Fisher will be the voice behind Marge In Charge.

Inspired by two of her best friends, and her own imagination, Isla has created every child’s dream babysitter, Marge who has multi-coloured hair and a great sense of fun.

In her first Irish interview this morning, Isla spoke to Paul about her nerves of entering into the world of children’s books and when we can see her next on the big screen, plus we found out if she still thinks of her past as Shannon.

Marge In Charge, which is for younger readers, will be out next Thursday July 28th on Piccadilly Press.

Whilst browsing around earlier, I came across some new information about an old project of Isla’s – a 1992 project called Clowning Around 2. I’m not clear whether this was a TV series or TV movie, but it is an Australian project about a boy who runs away from his foster home hoping to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a circus clown. Isla starred alongside Ernie Dingo, Clayton Williamson, and Francis Stawarz. This was likely Isla’s first on-screen appearance.

I’ll continue looking for more information on this and will add it to our Filmography page in time. If you have any more information on this project then please let us know! We love hearing about Isla’s old work and want to make sure our site is as comprehensive and accurate as possible, so always appreciate your help 🙂

Here are a couple of clips from the project:

We finally have our first look at Isla’s upcoming movie Keeping Up With The Joneses! The first trailer has been released today, and this was accompanied by the first stills and an official site. The cast also appeared on The Today Show earlier this morning to promote the trailer release, chatting about their characters and working together. Watch the trailer and TV appearance within this post, and find the stills and HD screencaptures in our Gallery. The movie looks really funny – what do you think?

The movie hits US cinemas on October 21st, and follows in the UK on October 28th.

An ordinary suburban couple (Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher) finds it’s not easy keeping up with the Joneses (Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot) – their impossibly gorgeous and ultra-sophisticated new neighbors – especially when they discover that Mr. and Mrs. “Jones” are covert operatives.

ING Direct customers take starring role alongside Isla Fisher

ING Direct has launched the next stage of its brand campaign, since the bank overhauled its positioning in June of last year and will star Isla Fisher as an ambassador.

In the campaign by VCCP Sydney, ING Direct has again used brand ambassador Isla Fisher alongside four customers to bring its customer experience offering to life.

ING Direct executive director John Arnott told AdNews Fisher has been a strong contributor to the company, doubling its sales in the past year and also raising its brand awareness.

Earlier this year, a study was released revealing celebrity ambassadors aren’t worth it unless they are a credible source that relates to the brand.

“Using a celebrity ambassador whose personality aligns with our brand and values helps [ING] cut through in a cluttered category,” Arnott says.
