Isla’s appearance on Rove Live from 2005 has surfaced online! She is joined by Owen Wilson on the show, as they promote Wedding Crashers. Unfortunately the video is missing the beginning and the end, but its great to see the majority of this big Wedding Crashers promo interview. Isla and Owen chat about their characters, chat-up lines, weddings and Isla and Vince Vaughn’s height difference. At the end, it was announced that Isla was the show’s 1000th guest! Isla is on the cover of the December issue of Australian Women’s Weekly, looking stunning in a new photoshoot! It’s a good interview too – Isla talks about what she loves about reading and storytelling, her childhood, influences, her Mazy and Marge book series’, The Great Gatsby, moving back to Australia, her upcoming projects, and she also briefly mentions Grimsby and Greed. “I get nervous talking about it”: Why Isla Fisher keeps her marriage close to her heart
”I have four other human beings [in my life] and I need to keep everybody happy.”
Isla Fisher is searching for her family’s passports, and their frequent flyer numbers. There was a time when they’d have been at her fingertips, but it’s been two whole years now that she, husband Sacha Baron Cohen and their tribe of three have been largely settled in Australia, and she knows those pesky passports are around here somewhere, but where?
You would think there would be someone who could do this for her. You would think that one of Australia’s most successful and gifted actors (and her brilliant, hilarious husband) would have a retinue of people keeping track of passports. But not so. The Baron Cohen/Fisher household seems to be a very hands-on operation.
Perhaps that’s in part because this comedic bombshell (whose box office hits include Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and the 2020 Edward Hall remake Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit) insists that the most important role in her life is motherhood. And her favourite aspect of that role – the one that fills her with pure joy – is inventing tall tales, creating characters and funny voices, and acting out classic stories to amuse her children.
Isla is featured in the November issue of UK magazine Red, to promote Mazy The Movie Star. Isla talks about her new book, plus comedy and being funny, Wedding Crashers, clown school, her favourite British TV comedies, Home & Away, writing, and her favourite projects she’s worked on (Gatsby and Wolf Like Me). No new photos unfortunately – they’ve reused the gorgeous shoot from Marie Claire in 2021. Find the scans in our Gallery:
Isla appeared on Watch What Happens Live last Thursday, as part of her Wolf Like Me promotion. As well as her new show, she also chatted about being married to someone else in the same business, Curb Your Enthusiasm, I Heart Huckabees, the advice she was given by Naomi Watts that’s helped to guide her career, Wedding Crashers (no sequel just yet!) and who made her the most star struck the first time she met them (Eddie Murphy). She also gave her views on some of her previous red carpet outfits, and they showed clips from some of her early roles (Clowning Around 2 and Scooby Doo). In the after show she chatted about her experience working with Leo DiCaprio for The Great Gatsby, and with Tom Ford on Nocturnal Animals.

Isla appeared on US talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers last night, to promote Wolf Like Me. She looked stunning in a little gold Versace dress – I wish we’d got to see this on a red carpet! During the interview she chatted about her recent anniversary, Sacha encouraging her to do more comedy and how this led to Wedding Crashers, Josh Gad and the series, how she got into acting, her romance novels and Marge book series (which is being developed into a series for Nickelodeon!), her dog Maisy, and working with Seth on Hot Rod. You can watch the interview below, and we have full HD screencaptures (x626!) in our Gallery:
PopCulture.com asked Isla about the rumoured Wedding Crashers sequel during a recent promotional interview for Back To The Outback. Isla told them:
“I know that a lot of people are trying to make that happen and I guess it’s a really important — or at least joyful memory for a lot of people. So hopefully we can make it come true. I’m definitely not in the loop as to what’s happening right now though.”
Isla Fisher is game for a second “Wedding Crashers” movie, though there would definitely need to be some COVID-19 precautions! “No one’s actually talked about it with me, but I have been hearing rumors. So I’d definitely be on board,” she told Access Daily’s Kit Hoover and Scott Evans of a possible sequel. “I don’t know where you’d continue – There’s not enough hand sanitizer and masks in the world for the way the boys behave in that movie, but I think that it’d be really fun to just come together.” Isla also shared lots of fun details from shooting the new movie “Godmothered,” which is streaming on Disney+ now.
