Gallery update – 2020 Appearances

We’ve skipped forward a bit from our last update of 2018 appearance photos, to add some additional HQ photos from Isla’s appearances so far this year. She attended the BAFTA LA Tea Party and the Golden Globes, sporting two very different looks but equally fabulous! I love her chic look at the Tea Party, and the more dramatic look at the Globes. The Golden Globe photos are particularly cute because Isla and Sacha both look so proud! We’ll go back and finish the 2019 appearances next…

Gallery update – 2018 Appearances

We’re continuing to catch-up the Gallery on missing photos, and since our last update we’ve moved onto 2018 appearances – in the last few weeks over 1,200 HQ photos from Isla’s appearances that year have been added to our Gallery! Isla attended several events through the year, including doing press for Tag in the summer. She looked gorgeous at the Tag LA premiere, but her look at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party is stunning, and probably one of my favorites of all time

Gallery update – 2016 Appearances

Over the past month we’ve been slowly working on catching up on missing appearance photos – and that’s a lot of new photos! To start with, we have over 1,100 additional photos from 2016 appearances. This was one of Isla’s busiest years, as she promoted Grimsby, Keeping Up With The Joneses, Nocturnal Animals and Marge In Charge! Naturally she looked fabulous whilst doing so – some of my favourite looks of this year (and all time!) were the BAFTAs, Keeping Up With The Joneses LA Premiere, Alice Through The Looking Glass premiere, and Nocturnal Animals Screening Rest assured we will be continuing to bring you lots of Isla content to give you some light-hearted escapism in these difficult times.

Isla Fisher to Star in Dark Comedy ‘Guilty Party’ at CBS All Access

Isla Fisher to Star in Dark Comedy ‘Guilty Party’ at CBS All Access

CBS All Access has given out a series order to the dark comedy series “Guilty Party” with Isla Fisher set to star, Variety has learned.

In the half-hour series, Fisher plays Beth Baker, a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn’t commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.

Fisher will serve as executive producer in addition to starring. Rebecca Addelman serves as writer and executive producer. Sam Hansen, Jimmy Miller and Funny Or Die’s Joe Farrell, Jim Ziegler, and Mike Farah will also executive produce, with Joe Hardesty co-executive producing. Trent O’Donnell is set to direct and executive produce. CBS Television Studios will produce in association with Funny or Die and Mosaic.

“’Guilty Party’ is a wild ride fueled by Beth’s grit, passionate heart and desperation to redeem herself,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president and head of programming for CBS All Access. “We knew we needed a magnetic, versatile talent in the role, and Isla perfectly embodies the wholly original character Rebecca created. We are thrilled to add ‘Guilty Party’ to our growing comedy slate which includes ‘Why Women Kill,’ ‘No Activity’ and the upcoming animated ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks.’”

Her role in the series will mark the first regular television role for Fisher since she appeared on the Australian show “Home and Away” in the 1990s. She is known for her roles in films like “Wedding Crashers,” “The Beach Bum,” “I Heart Huckabees,” “Keeping Up with the Joneses,” and “Confessions of a Shopaholic.” Her other past TV roles include “Arrested Development,” “Bored to Death,” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

“Blithe Spirit” trailer

The first trailer for Isla’s upcoming supernatural romantic comedy Blithe Spirit was released this week. The film is due for release in the UK on May 1st.

BLITHE SPIRIT is a riotous reimagining of Noël Coward’s classic comedy, about love that just won’t die…

Best-selling crime novelist Charles (Dan Stevens) is struggling with catastrophic writer’s block and a stressful deadline for his first screenplay. His picture-perfect second wife Ruth (Isla Fisher) is doing her best to keep him focussed in the hope of fulfilling her dream of heading to Hollywood. Charles’ desperate search for inspiration leads him to invite Madame Arcati (Judi Dench), a medium recently exposed as a fraud, to perform a séance in their home. They all get more than they bargained for when Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of his deceased first wife: the fiery and jealous Elvira (Leslie Mann) who embarks on a mission to kill Charles so she can spend eternity with him which leads to an increasingly comical and deadly love triangle.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” 10×05 ‘Insufficient Praise’ Screencaptures

Isla made a guest appearance in this week’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, titled ‘Insufficient Praise’. Isla played Carol, the girlfriend of main character Larry David’s friend Richard. Carol is a “professional crier”, who obtained Larry’s mother’s mink fur coat and a relationship with Clive Owen through questionable methods. It was another fun comedic performance from Isla! Unlikely she’ll be back in the show though 😉
