“Pilot Season” screencaptures & information started

Hello Isla fans! Today I have gone through the first 10 episodes of Pilot Season and have added screencaptures and mini episode guides for the 3 of those episodes that Isla was in. I’m enjoying the series so far and the deluded characters are pretty funny! Obviously Isla is a highlight, and I’m keen to watch more to see what her character gets up to. Therefore, I will be trying to get a full set of screencaps and episodes guides up as soon as possible!

Screencaptures are in the Gallery – links and previews below – and browse through our information on this project in the Filmography section.

More new “Bachelorette” press interviews

Another batch of Bachelorette interviews have been added to our Press page today! Go have a read….

“I think people want to see movies the way they want to see them. I think that seeing them at home in your jammies is an appealing option and I can totally understand that. And why not? This movie, why I think there’s specific interest, is because I think that this is a rare comedy that has a lot of pathos and dramatic moments, and deals with issues that normally are in regular indie movies instead of indie comedy movies, and I like to think that it’s because Leslye Headland’s a wonderful female writer and there are three great female roles in a female centered comedy. There’s not enough of them getting made.”

New interviews with Isla

Two new interviews with Isla promoting Bachelorette have been added to our Press page – I particularly like the NBC one as she talks about how she approaches her career since having children. She also talks more about Gatsby in that one. A few older interviews have been added to that section in recent weeks too. New additions are always marked with a (*).

I just think that I’m finding more and more courage within myself to take on things that maybe…in the past I was quite protective about what I did and I was quite precious about how I would be perceived. But that’s what’s great about having kids: it’s sort of the death of ego, and so then when you read material I’m no longer judgmental of the people that I would play. I’m just more excited for a challenge, and I care about my career greatly. I’m a very passionate actor and I love acting. But at the same time I’m not married to outcomes in the same way I was as a younger actor, because I have a family and that’s my priority.

More content updates: Lookalikes & Isla with other celebs

To add the finishing touches to our content, I have now completed the remaining pages of Look-a-likes and Isla with other celebrities. The lookalikes section is fairly empty besides some celebs wearing the same dress as Isla, and a little section about Isla’s doppelganger, so if you have any lookalikes you’d like to submit then do get in touch! The With Other Celebs page took some time to put together, and is a pretty fun page to look at, I think! Has Isla been snapped with any of your other fave celebs? Have a browse! Personally I love the pics of her with her old Home & Away co-stars, as well as those with Charlize Theron, Heath Ledger, Leo DiCaprio and Sean Penn – she looks like she’s having a great conversation with Charlize, and is very excited to meet Leo!

The Biography has now been brought up to date, too.

Minus the Style section, I think our content is now ‘complete’ – yay! Alongside those Style pages, I will next be working on Pilot Season and Home & Away caps, and will also get working on updating our Video archive. Anything else you particularly want me to add to the site? Get in touch!

Filmography pages completed!

After much hard work over the past couple of weeks, I have now managed to finish our extensive Filmography pages! Since the last filmography content update posted, I have added and written the remaining pages for Isla’s more recent films – from 2006 to 2011 – including The Lookout, Hot Rod, Definitely Maybe, and Confessions Of A Shopaholic. As always, all pages are packed full of information, trivia, quotes and more that I have researched and transcribed for the site. Hopefully you will enjoy reading them and finding out more about Isla’s films! I really enjoyed writing them, and am proud to be able to provide an extensive resource for Isla’s career on this site.

I’ve also brought the upcoming films pages bang up-to-date, in particular Bachelorette.

A few more content updates still to come over the weekend, then that will be done and I will be giving in to my guilty pleasure and adding some old Home & Away screencaps 😛

Isla & “Bachelorette” girls featured in Elle magazine

Isla and her Bachelorette co-stars Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan are featured in a new photo spread in the September issue of Elle (US)! The ladies talk about female friendship and this generation of women, and pose in the latest ‘cool-girl’ fashions for the magazine. The photoshoot has been added to our Gallery, and the interview to our press page, all courtesy of Elle.com.

Katy Perry is on the cover of this issue, so keep an eye out for it and pick up a copy to see Isla inside!

All the Single Ladies

Whether your idea of cool-girl dressing is cutout mod sheaths or sexy-strong tailoring, the firebrand trio of this month’s darkly funny bachelorette will show you how to have a good time.

When wickedly funny Los Angeles playwright Leslye Headland first began taking meetings with Hollywood executives, she heard the same question on repeat: “They’d ask,‘What’s the female version of an Apatow movie?’ I would always say, ‘Depressing.’” Audiences love a man-child, but would they find “a woman struggling with her femininity” just as funny? Turns out they do. Bachelorette, Headland’s raucous Sundance hit, in theaters this month, is hilarious, twisted, and startlingly incisive. On the eve of a wedding, three early-thirties bridesmaids lean hard into old archetypes—the ditz (Isla Fisher), the nympho (Lizzy Caplan), and the alpha female (Kirsten Dunst)—and wrestle with their own inadequacies as the rotund runt of their high school pack (the always-game Rebel Wilson) beats them all to the altar, with a Disney- perfect prince to boot. Make no mistake: This isn’t Bridesmaids. Headland spins her premise into something grittier, a fiercely sharp send-up of the idea, she says, “that there’s a checklist by which women should live their lives, so that they’re always defining themselves by what they don’t have.”
