Isla appeared on Aussie news/entertainment show The Project a couple of days ago to promote Blithe Spirit. She chatted about the movie, being recognised as Amy Adams, and whether Borat took his look from “Poppa Fish”.
During her time in Edinburgh at the weekend, Isla was a guest on BBC Radio 4’s show Loose Ends. She chatted about her Marge book series and the reasons for writing it, writing with her Mum in the 90’s, and her career including Nocturnal Animals, Grimsby and Wedding Crashers.

Clive Anderson and Tom Allen are joined by Isla Fisher, Selina Thompson and Dave Johns for an eclectic mix of conversation, music and comedy from the Edinburgh Festivals.
Isla appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier today to promote the latest release in her ‘Marge’ book series – Marge and the Great Train Rescue. She chatted about her process of writing, Nocturnal Animals, and her family life. Isla wore a green dress by Réalisation with Stuart Weitzman heels. Watch a clip of the interview below:
Isla’s recent drama/thriller movie Nocturnal Animals was released on DVD/Blu-ray last month, and we now have HD screencaptures from the film in our Gallery for you. The film was very slick and chic, however, overall I felt it was cold and underwhelming. Isla had a tiny part with very little to do – although it was great seeing her work alongside such an impressive cast! Make sure you see the movie if you can, and check out our screencaptures in the Gallery – although do be warned that they obviously contain major spoilers as well as some images that may not be suitable for younger viewers…
TNT Latin America have a short featurette on Isla to promote the release of Nocturnal Animals, including some interesting interview footage about the film:
Isla appeared on US daytime chat show The Rachael Ray Show earlier today, to promote Nocturnal Animals. She also chatted about her husband, and her infamous hidden talent for making pig noises. Below are a couple of clips, and I’ll add the full segment and screencaptures as soon as I can:
As expected, Isla attended the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTAs) in Sydney earlier today, where she was presented with the Trailblazer Award. She was accompanied on the red carpet by her husband, and her mum Elspeth was inside for the ceremony with them. Isla was presented with her award – which she calls the “pinnacle” of her career – by Aussie actor Geoffrey Rush, and thanked fellow Aussie actresses and fellow orange person Donald Trump in her speech! Isla wore a classy black crystal polka dot dress by Aussie designer, with Bulgari jewellery. Read more from the night in the posts below (many of the links have good red carpet video interviews and ceremony footage in them that can’t be embedded here) and find the first HQ photos in our Gallery. Check back in the coming days for more coverage!
Congratulations to Isla on this fantastic honour – and on her 15th anniversary with Sacha! 🙂
Isla was a guest on Anna Faris’s weekly podcast ‘Unqualified’ and the twosome talk about a whole range of topics – it’s a really funny interview! Listen in:
Anna Faris is Unqualified Podcast: not-so-great relationship advice from completely unqualified Hollywood types.
This week on Unqualified, Anna and Sim hang out with actress Isla Fisher (Nocturnal Animals, Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic). They talk about tabloid rumors, peaking at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, and what it’s like being a mom in Hollywood, before testing out how Isla would proceed in some crazy scenarios. Karen Sarducci also pencils in a visit with Isla to pitch some feature film ideas with major Oscar buzz! Will she sign on? Listen in and find out! And come back tomorrow for some listener calls!
On part two of this week’s episode, Anna, Sim, and Isla Fisher dial up some callers. First they call Dianne, whose boyfriend broke the one rule in their non-monogamous relationship by sleeping with a mutual friend who he claims was “in a dark place.” Next, the team dishes out some unqualified advice to Allison, who’s worried that one of her best friends could potentially be marrying the wrong person. Stakes are high this week, tune in!
