Isla in People magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful’ issue

Isla is featured in the new issue of People magazine, which is their ‘Most Beautiful’ issue! It’s a really gorgeous new pink-themed photoshoot – stunning! The brief article in the magazine has Isla talking about pink and her favourite colour, however, the behind the scenes interview video (below) has some nice snippets on Isla’s “floral obsession”, when she feels at her best during the day, baths, supportive friends, and her new movie Strays. We’ve added the photoshoot and the scan from the magazine to our Gallery:

(Apologies for the state of the site at the moment, we’re having some technical issues, but are working to fix this and make the site look better again!)

“I get nervous talking about it”: Why Isla Fisher keeps her marriage close to her heart

”I have four other human beings [in my life] and I need to keep everybody happy.”

Isla Fisher is searching for her family’s passports, and their frequent flyer numbers. There was a time when they’d have been at her fingertips, but it’s been two whole years now that she, husband Sacha Baron Cohen and their tribe of three have been largely settled in Australia, and she knows those pesky passports are around here somewhere, but where?

You would think there would be someone who could do this for her. You would think that one of Australia’s most successful and gifted actors (and her brilliant, hilarious husband) would have a retinue of people keeping track of passports. But not so. The Baron Cohen/Fisher household seems to be a very hands-on operation.

Perhaps that’s in part because this comedic bombshell (whose box office hits include Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and the 2020 Edward Hall remake Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit) insists that the most important role in her life is motherhood. And her favourite aspect of that role – the one that fills her with pure joy – is inventing tall tales, creating characters and funny voices, and acting out classic stories to amuse her children.

“Wolf Like Me” streaming now on Peacock and Stan!

Isla’s new “genre-bending” dramedy Wolf Like Me is now available on online streaming services Stan (Aus) and Peacock (US)! Isla plays Mary, who she describes as being “incredibly damaged”, and that she’s “had a very hard, isolated few years” because “her scenario has caused her to make some choices, unconsciously, that have led to feed her shame and guilt”.

We’ve added HD screencaptures from the first episode today (there are 6 in total, all available now) and we would really highly recommend watching this show if you can. We were absolutely transfixed by the first episode and can’t wait to see the story develop. It’s like nothing else Isla has done before and her performance is so layered, but grounded by her usual warmth and heart. Be sure to have a browse of these screencaptures because the quality is fantastic and Isla looks beautiful! We’ll have more screencaptures for you over the weekend …

Exclusive: Isla Fisher Opens Up About Kids, Comedy & Coming Home

From Summer Bay soap star to Hollywood heavyweight, Isla Fisher has lived most of her life under the media spotlight. But when it comes to her family - and the three children she shares with actor and satirist Sacha Baron Cohen – she’s fiercely protective. “Motherhood is actually my favourite topic – but I keep it private,” she tells marie claire on the set of our June cover shoot. “I think all parents are trying to protect their kids, especially in the social media age. I want our children to have a normal childhood – being able to play outside without pressure or scrutiny. All kids have the right to just be kids, and I would never sell a film or magazine by speaking about [mine].”

Isla on the cover of Stellar magazine

Isla is on the cover of Aussie Sunday newspaper lifestyle magazine Stellar this weekend (March 21st edition). The feature is to promote Blithe Spirit, and Isla also talks about how she picks her projects these days, her family and privacy, social media, her husbands roles, and being a ‘power couple’. Alongside the new interview is a brand new photoshoot, too. Read the interview below, and find the photos in our Gallery:

“I still think I should be cleaning the pool – not getting to lie by it”

Fisher and Baron Cohen certainly have all the makings of a celebrity power couple, but the mere mention of the term only makes her feel uneasy.

Despite her three-decade career, Australian actor Isla Fisher remains as awestruck by her success as she does co-stars like Dame Judi Dench, who made her feel like “jelly on legs”.

She’s also mystified about being known as a power couple with husband Sacha Baron Cohen – although she does “adore” Borat.

After a year that found her wearing almost nothing but trackies and sports bras, Isla Fisher finally saw glamour make its return to her wardrobe at the start of March.

On the first day of the month, she put on an Alex Perry couture gown to attend a virtual Golden Globes ceremony alongside her husband Sacha Baron Cohen, who picked up two gongs for his latest Borat film.

“I’ve really enjoyed the feeling after lockdown and COVID to get a dress on and get my hair and make-up done,” Fisher tells Stellar two days later, as she lounges around in a Gucci jumpsuit for our photo shoot. “It felt fun. And what I love about Alex Perry is that for anyone who has given birth, he makes you feel like you stepped off a runway.”
