Isla appeared on US morning show The Today Show yesterday to promote the release of ‘Marge In Charge’ in the US. Isla said she wants Betty White to play Marge in a movie of the book if one was ever made, and she talked about the response she’s had to Marge in the UK. She briefly mentioned her upcoming movie Tag, and there was an obligatory mention of her husband and his famous antics. Here’s the interview:

Isla on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends
During her time in Edinburgh at the weekend, Isla was a guest on BBC Radio 4’s show Loose Ends. She chatted about her Marge book series and the reasons for writing it, writing with her Mum in the 90’s, and her career including Nocturnal Animals, Grimsby and Wedding Crashers.

Isla at the Edinburgh Book Festival
Last Saturday Isla made an appearance at the Edinburgh Book Festival to talk about her Marge book series and celebrate the latest release in the series, Marge and the Great Train Rescue. She did an on-stage interview and then signed copies of her books for fans. Isla at the BookExpo Children’s Book & Author Breakfast
Isla continued her run at BookExpo yesterday, attending the Children’s Book & Author Breakfast and then a book signing in the morning. So far we only have a couple of photos from the event, but there are lots of fan-taken photos on Twitter, and I’ve embedded them below and added them as a ‘Moment’ on our Twitter account.

Founding member of We Need Diverse Books™ Marieke Nijkamp (This Is Where It Ends) will talk about her new YA novel Before I Let Go and acclaimed author Jennifer Weiner will discuss her middle grade book Little Bigfoot, Big City.
Taking place Friday, June 2, the BookExpo Children’s Book & Author Breakfast will kick off the final day of the 3-day event, further establishing BookExpo as the must-attend destination for the publishing industry.
