Isla at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party

As I had hoped, Isla attended the Oscars in Hollywood last night, to support her husband’s movie again! Isla was seen backstage at the main event, and then walked the red carpet of the big Vanity Fair After Party. Isla wowed in a cobalt blue dress by Monique Lhuillier, with jewellry from David Webb. After walking the red carpet of the party, Isla enjoyed the fun inside with Sacha, and pals Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon & Jennifer Aniston. Thanks to my friend Jen I’ve been able to add a ton of gorgeous HQ photos from the night to our Gallery, so go have a browse of Isla at Hollywood’s big party…

Superfood for Babies: Breastfeeding Report

All women deserve the support they need to breastfeed, if they choose to. Breastfeeding has important benefits for moms and babies everywhere, and can literally save lives in the developing world. Save the Children’s new report, Superfood for Babies, estimates that 830,000 babies could be saved if all women breastfed in the first hour of life. Exclusive breastfeeding for six months could save even more lives. Yet, the report explains, moms face four significant barriers to successful breastfeeding. They are cultural and community pressures, the health worker shortage, lack of maternity legislation, and inappropriate marketing of breast-milk substitutes. Read the press release.

Isla being considered for “This Is Where I Leave You”

The Hollywood Reporter report that Isla is being considered for a role in upcoming comedy-drama This Is Where I Leave You, alongside Tina Fey and Jason Bateman:

Tina Fey Joining Jason Bateman in ‘This Is Where I Leave You’

Tina Fey continues to shape her post-30 Rock acting slate, entering negotiations to star alongside Jason Bateman in This Is Where I Leave You, Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the book by Jonathan Tropper.

Shawn Levy is directing the movie and producing along with Paula Weinstein.

Tropper wrote the script, which centers on a man (Bateman) whose father dies and tasks his dysfunctional family comprised of four grown siblings with one last request: to spend seven days following the funeral together under the same roof for first time in a decade.

If a deal comes together, Fey will play Bateman’s older sister, a woman who is married and whose first love now has brain damage.

The project, which is eyeing a production start in June in New York, also is casting other female roles: Bateman read actresses Ari Graynor, Isla Fisher, Zoe Saldana and Mary Elizabeth Winstead for the part of the romantic lead, but no decision has been made. Kathryn Hahn is looking likely to play Bateman’s sister-in-law.

Fey is expected to segue into the role after she wraps shooting a leading role in Disney’s The Muppets…Again!, the sequel to The Muppets, which is currently shooting in Europe.

Fey is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, Ziffren Brittenham.
