Gallery Maintenance

A while ago I think I mentioned that I was planning to completely re-vamp our Gallery here at Isla Fisher Web. Before I was given the chance to take over this site, I had already gathered a lot of photos of Isla to start my own fansite, so upon taking over this site I decided it would probably be easiest if I downloaded everything from this gallery, sorted it with what I had, and then re-uploaded everything. I thought it would be best to upload it to a fresh gallery, so you can look forward to a sparkly brand new Gallery to browse through! A lot of appearance photos and film set/stills photos have been replaced with high quality versions, and we will also have several new photos that weren’t in the old Gallery. Another difference is that the Gallery will be separate from the Videos.

I’ve been working hard on the new Gallery in the last few weeks, and it’s almost ready to go! As I continue to work on this new Gallery I will be deleting albums from the old Gallery as I add those photos to the new Gallery. So this post is just to let you know that the photos in the current Gallery will gradually disappear, but fear not, they will be available again in about a week in the new Gallery. I hope this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience for you.

“Burke & Hare” Australian trailer + clip

Whilst browsing for Burke & Hare videos earlier, I came across an Australian trailer for the film that I hadn’t posted here before. The film was released in Isla’s home country back in May.

I also found a clip from the film.

We’ll have screencaps from the DVD (which is available to buy in the UK now) in the next few weeks … šŸ™‚

“Burke & Hare” to be released in US on September 9th

This weekā€™s indie release-date updates brings news that IFC Films will handle John Landisā€™ first feature in 12 years, the black comedy ā€œBurke & Hare.ā€ Itā€™s set for September 9.

ā€œBurke & Hareā€ is the based on the true story of William Burke and William Hare, two 19th-century Edinburgh grave robbers who discovered there was a good business in providing dead bodies for medical schools.

The film stars Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson.

Shot at Londonā€™s Ealing Studios, the film was released nearly a year ago in the UK to unkind reviews. ā€œAn inept black farce that couldnā€™t be more lifeless if it was one of their victims,ā€ wrote Total Film. The Guardian was marginally less damning, describing it as ā€œmore ā€˜Carry Onā€™ than classic.ā€
