Isla Fisher Web – The Isla Fisher Online Resource bringing you the latest and greatest on Isla Fisher since 2008 (

Isla always looks fresh faced and luminous! She tends to favor a more natural and simple look, often with smoky eyes and shiny lips. Occassionally we see her go for all out glamour, and she excels at the old-school Hollywood look with bold red lips and dramatic make-up! Isla admits that she’s not big on beauty regimes, however, saying that they’re “time consuming”, and she’d rather spend that time sleeping! She often works with make-up artists Mai Quynh and Kara Yoshimoto to achieve a red carpet and camera-ready look.

Here you can find out how to copy various make-up looks she’s had, from both red carpet events and magazine photoshoots. You can also see what Isla carries in her make-up bag and which products are her essentials.

Isla Says

“I use the highest-number sunscreen Clinique makes, and when the odd blemish pops up on my face to say hello, I don’t pick. Instead I dab on Lancer Gel, this all-natural aloe vera treatment for acne. I also moisturize. I used to not do that when I had problem skin as a teen, because I thought it would make the situation worse. But keeping your skin moisturised prevents breakouts rather than encourages them, as long as you use the right kind for your skin type. I’m loving Nerida Joy Cell Fortifier Cream.” (2007)

“Yes I’ve spray-tanned – it’s safer than a tanning bed. But it’s a very de-humanizing experience to be naked and sprayed at by a machine. If Oompa Loompas were fashionable, I would have loved the way I looked, but really I just felt like a very orange person.”(2007)

“Use a brush to apply concealer – you can’t blend as easily with your finger or a cotton swab.” (2007)

“Take a hairdryer to your eyelash curler before using them to make them curl better.”

“I’m not great with beauty. I’m the girl who falls asleep in her make-up – especially since becoming a mum. All those hours I could spend priming, waxing and blow-drying can be put to better use – sleep!” (2009)

Eyes: Dior Waterproof Eyeliner in Trinidad Black, DiorShow Mascara in Black, Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Stylish Move.

Face: DiorSkin Nude Foundation and Anticerne Perfecteur and DiorSkin Extreme Fix Powder.

Los Angeles premiere of Bruno, 2009
Make-up by Mai Quynh
Mai Quynh is a celebrity make-up artist for Mark. She said of Isla’s make-up here, “Isla’s Stella McCartney dress was sweet, flirty and 60’s inspired. She accessorized with rose gold shoes and super cool gold jewelry, so we decided to keep her makeup fun!” Here’s what she used:

Eyes: For Isla’s eyes, I started by using mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Corset, applying it with the mark Eyeliner Brush. I then smudged Corset along her top and bottom lashes, staying very close to the lash line. Then I applied mark Get in Line Waterproof Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner, and lined the top and bottom of her lash line, connecting the two lines and winging it upwards. To finish, I applied two coats of mark Lash Splash Waterproof Hook Up Mascara in Black.

Face: To give Isla her summer glow, I applied mark Glow Xpert Face Shimmer in Candle Glo above her cheekbones, using the mark Foundation Brush. I then applied mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Bronze, using the mark Blush Brush, to her forehead, cheeks and chin. To complete Isla’s cheeks, I dusted mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush in Sun Love Glo, using the mark Blush Brush, to the apples of her cheeks.

Lips: To finish Isla’s look, I applied mark Pro Gloss Hook Up Plumping Lip Shine in Swell to her lips.
