Oliver Twist 1999 Mini-Series – Episode 3 & 4 screencaptures

I’ve now added screencaps from the 3rd and 4th episode of the 1999 mini-series Oliver Twist, although as you can see, Isla wasn’t in them much! In episode 3 we see her ‘working’ in a pub and then later trying to look after Nancy, and in the 4th and final episode Bet discovers Nancy’s dead body and screams ‘murder’ (in a very Australian accent!) out of the window. So check out our exclusive screencaps in the Gallery!

Stay tuned for Wedding Crashers and Burke & Hare HD screencaps in the coming week or so…

Oliver Twist 1999 Mini-Series – Episode 2 screencaptures

Continuing my mission to screencap Isla’s remaining projects that we don’t already have in our Gallery (as well as watch the ones I haven’t already seen!), I have this week managed to get hold of the Oliver Twist mini-series that was made and aired in the UK in 1999. Isla played Bet in the series, a ‘lady of the night’ and friend of Nancy. She appears briefly in Episode 2, where she meets Oliver and coos over how sweet he is calling her and Nancy ‘miss’! Exclusive screencaps from Episode 2 can now be found in our Gallery.

Isla is listed as starring in episodes 3 & 4 too, so check back for screencaps from those 2 episodes later this week, when I receive that disc.

Enjoy this rare treat!

Sundance Film ‘Bachelorette’ Acquired by The Weinstein Co.’s Radius Label

New York, NY, February 7, 2012 – The Weinstein Company (TWC) announced today that its new label, Radius-TWC, has acquired from Strategic Motion Ventures the North American distribution rights to the comedy BACHELORETTE, the debut feature from writer/director Leslye Headland. Adapted by Headland from her acclaimed stage play of the same name, BACHELORETTE had its world premiere in the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Premieres section. The film is the first to be acquired in the open marketplace by Radius-TWC, which was created in fall 2011 to bring new films and other specialty entertainment to audiences simultaneously across multiple platforms. The announcement was made by Radius-TWC Co-Presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.

A raucous comedy about a group of friends who bring decidedly mixed feelings to the task of planning a wedding, BACHELORETTE stars Kirsten Dunst (MELANCHOLIA), Isla Fisher (CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC), Lizzy Caplan (“New Girl”), James Marsden (ENCHANTED), Kyle Bornheimer (SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE), Rebel Wilson (BRIDESMAIDS) and Adam Scott (OUR IDIOT BROTHER). The producers are Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum for Gary Sanchez Productions; and Brice Dal Farra, Claude Dal Farra and Lauren Munsch for BCDF Pictures. The executive producers are Gary Sanchez Productions’ Chris Henchy and BCDF Pictures’ Paul Prokop. The announcement was made by Radius-TWC Co-Presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.

Commented Quinn and Janego, “Leslye has crafted a raging, stiletto-sharp comedy populated with an indelible cast of real characters. BACHELORETTE boldly goes to places BRIDESMAIDS and HANGOVER dare not. This is destined to be one of the most talked about films of the year and we can’t think of a more fitting film for our new label.”

“Home & Away” screencaptures – Isla’s first and last episodes

To celebrate Isla’s birthday, I decided to dig out some of the Home & Away videos on my computer, and have made screencaptures from Isla’s first and last episodes on the show! Her first two episodes, from 1994, showed a soft-spoken and quietly feisty Shannon and her foster brother Curtis come to Summer Bay to meet potential new foster families and decide whether they wanted to live with them. Obviously they liked what they saw, as they stayed 😉 Three years later, and Shannon gave the Bay an emotional farewell to move to Paris with her girlfriend.

Many of the screencaptures are very poor quality, so I apologise for that, but we’re lucky to be able to get any videos of Isla’s episodes, and you can still get an idea of what she looked like and what happened in the episodes from these caps.

Fortunately I found these videos on YouTube, so you can all see them too! I have embedded them further down the post for you.

Happy Birthday Isla Fisher!

Isla celebrates her 36th birthday today, and we at Isla Fisher Web would like to wish her the happiest of birthdays!! Happy Birthday, Isla! Isla we hope you spend your special day with loved ones, and that the year ahead brings you all you wish for. Thanks for being such a positive inspiration, for remaining down to earth, and for sharing your talents with us through your films – we hope to share many more laughs with you in the future!

Feel free to leave your birthday wishes for Isla by posting a comment here.

Today also marks this site’s birthday! Isla Fisher Web was opened by Maria & Riikka on this day back in 2008, meaning we turn 4 years old today. In our past year online we’ve had the opening of our new Gallery, plus the addition of even more extensive content (and more still being worked on!) … not to mention following the promotion for Rango and the filming of lots of new movies. I’m really excited to continue working on this site going into our 5th year online, and cannot wait to continue following Isla’s career with you through this site!

Common joins “Now You See Me”

Musician turned actor Common has announced that he has joined the cast of Now You See Me:

“I’m about to film this movie called Now You See Me, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Isla Fisher and Michael Caine and Mark Ruffalo – I’d say it’s an action movie, about these magicians. It’s dope. I’m going down to film that soon.”
