“Rise Of The Guardians” in US cinemas now!

Rise Of The Guardians is now out in US cinemas!! It was released on Wednesday, so maybe some of you have had the chance to see it already!? Isla voices Tooth in the animated fantasy adventure, alongside Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny, Alec Baldwin as Santa, and Jude Law as the big bad Pitch. It looks to be a magical Christmas comedy and definitely worth a watch.

New interview with the Scottish Daily Record

The Scottish Daily Record have published a new interview with Isla to promote Rise Of The Guardians, and you can find it on our Press page now. It’s a good read (as usual), and Isla talks about this movie, Now You See Me, motherhood, and being axed from The Simpsons movie:

“When I got the job, I thought it would be good for me because it would make me more courageous.

“The director told me he had worked with actors who had not wanted to do the amount of stunts I felt comfortable doing. So I was quite pleased with myself.”

Being chained underwater sounds scary but Isla insists she wasn’t frightened.

She said: “I was not scared because you run through the stunt so many times and practise and build up your lung capacity and know where the quick release is on the handcuffs.”

I have now added over 120 HQ photos from last week’s London premiere of Rise Of The Guardians to our Gallery. “Rise Of The Guardians” gallery update

Isla does only voice a character in this film, but I know some people are interested in seeing photos from her voice work, so I have updated our Gallery with some new Rise Of The Guardians photos. So I’ve added a few stills plus a couple of new posters, but the main new additions are screencaptures from the featurettes and b-roll that feature Isla herself. We also have a great new publicity shot of Isla alongside her character Tooth. Having watched the featurettes now I have to admit that I will probably go and see this movie – it looks like it’s magical Christmas fun!

Fisher: I’m sentimental about Bay

Fisher: I’m sentimental about Bay

Isla Fisher has revealed that she doesn’t mind if people remind her of her days on Home And Away, unlike former co-star Melissa George.

The 36-year-old actress, who played Shannon Reed in the Australian soap from 1994 to 1997, has since carved out a successful career in Hollywood, starring in comedies like Wedding Crashers, Hot Rod and Confessions Of A Shopaholic.

“I feel like everything in the past has led me to where I am today, and I’m incredibly grateful for that experience and that exposure,” she said at the UK premiere of her latest film Rise Of The Guardians.

Isla, who voices the Tooth Fairy in the animated feature, added: “I’ve been lucky that the people that remember that part of my life feel quite sentimental about it, so I always feel super-sentimental about it too.

“To be honest, no one has really brought it up for years. When people come up to me now, it’s for Wedding Crashers, not Home And Away.”

Melissa, who played Angel Parrish from 1993 to 1996, was not happy after she was recently asked about her soap days on Australian talk show The Morning Show.
