The first official trailer for The Great Gatsby has been released today! It looks suitably lavish, mysterious and intense, I think, and the cast look brilliant. I’m even more excited for this film now! However, I don’t see Isla as Myrtle in this trailer … did you? Big thanks to my friend Lindsey for pointing out Isla in the trailer to me! You have to watch very closely, she’s only shown twice for the tiniest flash. I’ve added HD screencaptures to the Gallery.

You can watch and/or download the trailerin HD at Apple.com. An official website for the film has also been launched at thegreatgatsbymovie.com. And alongside all this new material is the first official poster, which I will add to our Gallery in a minute (see our ‘Last Uploads’ on the sidebar).

Props to Carey Mulligan Online for the heads-up on the trailer. Watch the trailer below, and leave a comment below if you want to say something about it…

When you think F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jay-Z totally comes to mind, right? We didn’t think so. But that’s just one of the things that makes Baz Lurhmann an interesting director. When MTV News caught up with Isla Fischer on the set of “Now You See Me,” she told us working on the film was an “incredible luxury” and shared insight into the unique way Lurhmann helped the actors feel comfortable on set.

“I had a great time. I loved it,” the Scottish actress told us about her “Gatsby” experience. “It was an incredible luxury. We did a play workshop that was three weeks long. Before we even started rehearsals we were immersed entirely in [the 1920’s]. It was just the best experience ever.”

Literature fans were thrilled when it was announced another film adaptation of Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” was in the works. Further, they became overjoyed with the news that Leonard DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Fischer were among the talented actors cast. And according to the Scottish actress, the stars of the film will not disappoint as Lurhmann’s direction helped ease the actors’ nerves.

“On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full and we did the entire scene with, you know, Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting and it was just so liberating,” Fischer said. “He really understands actors and how self-conscious we feel at times, and how exposed we are and how we never know where anything lands. Just the complexity of being vulnerable every minute when you’re acting and he just makes you feel so safe.”

We imagine being in the extremely capable hands of the man behind “Romeo + Juliet,” “Australia” and “Moulin Rouge” would make you feel very safe.

ET have the first live action look at the filming of Now You See Me, visiting the set and getting to see some of action as well as chatting to the stars, including Isla! There’s some great footage, and it’s really interesting to hear the cast talk about their characters and the plot.

The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg is working some cinematic magic for his new role in Now You See Me alongside fellow movie magicians Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco — and only ET is on the set!

“Every scene has some interesting component of magic to it, or some kind of reversal of character,” Eisenberg tells ET. “I’m sure it’ll be as fun to watch as it has been to do.”

Coming to theaters in 2013, Now You See Me casts Eisenberg, Harrelson, Fisher and Franco (the 21 Jump Street star and brother of James Franco) as “The Four Horsemen,” a quartet of the world’s greatest illusionists who pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of FBI Agent Mark Ruffalo and Interpol agent Melanie Laurent.

“We are kind of modern-day Robin Hoods,” explains Fisher. “We’re getting back at corporate greed and we’re distributing the wealth and we’re essentially kind of anarchists, good guys, good magicians, righting the wrongs of the world.”

Michael Caine also stars as a wealthy benefactor, and Morgan Freeman plays a former illusionist and now world-famous magic debunker determined to take down the Horsemen.

Also starring Common and Michael Kelly, the film is directed by Louis Letterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk).

Filming for Now You See Me has now moved to Las Vegas, and Isla and her co-stars were spotted filming scenes on Monday afternoon. This week they’ve shot at the Aria hotel, including their Sky Villa suites, casino floor and valet areas, at the iconic signs at the Neon Museum and Boneyard on Monday, and the Golden Gate hotel on Tuesday. They won’t be filming at the MGM Grand though – during the filming in New Orleans earlier this year, sets were built to stand in for the famous hotel and casino, where a fight scene was set. David Copperfield is reportedly on set in Las Vegas this week. The movie also has scenes in Paris and New York.

I’ve added a couple of photos from the sighting to our Gallery, and will be on the lookout for more.

Contact Music have a short video with footage of the cast arriving on set, and Ace Showbiz and SunOfHollywood have a few more photos from this weeks filming.

The filming for Now You See Me has now moved from New Orleans to New York City, and last week we finally got our first look at Isla on the set! Photos have surfaced of her filming on the Lower East Side last week with her co-stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. Isla’s character is called Henley, a master illusion builder who helps the gang pull off their tricks. Photos from this sighting can be seen in our Gallery, and further down this post is a short video with footage of Isla and Jesse waiting to shoot a scene. It looks like Isla is having fun on this set (as always)!

The Daily Mail and OK Magazine also have some good pics from the set, which we unfortunately can’t post here. And you can see some great fan-taken photos here and here.

To celebrate Isla’s birthday, I decided to dig out some of the Home & Away videos on my computer, and have made screencaptures from Isla’s first and last episodes on the show! Her first two episodes, from 1994, showed a soft-spoken and quietly feisty Shannon and her foster brother Curtis come to Summer Bay to meet potential new foster families and decide whether they wanted to live with them. Obviously they liked what they saw, as they stayed 😉 Three years later, and Shannon gave the Bay an emotional farewell to move to Paris with her girlfriend.

Many of the screencaptures are very poor quality, so I apologise for that, but we’re lucky to be able to get any videos of Isla’s episodes, and you can still get an idea of what she looked like and what happened in the episodes from these caps.

Fortunately I found these videos on YouTube, so you can all see them too! I have embedded them further down the post for you.
