Video, screencaptures & stills from Live With Kelly & Michael

Isla appeared on Live With Kelly & Michael on Monday, to chat about Rise Of The Guardians, and I have now put together coverage for you! Big big thanks goes to my friend Colleen for making us a video of the appearance. From this I have been able to upload an exclusive downloadable video for you, plus screencaptures. We also have a few stills from the taping.

It was a short but nice interview – Isla talked about fitting yoga into her daily life as a mum, training as a clown, and then what attracted her to Rise Of The Guardians. It’s really great to see her on a big chat show again!

Enjoy the video and pictures 🙂

Isla at “Rise Of The Guardian” London Premiere tonight

As expected, Isla attended the London premiere of Rise Of The Guardians tonight, and she looked fabulous in a little white lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana. I really like that she’s done something different with her hair too. Isla was photographed at the red carpet event with co-star Chris Pine, director Peter Ramsey, composer Alexandre Desplat and producer Christina Steinberg.

I’ve added the first few photos to the Gallery, and will start on adding more tomorrow. I believe there was also a press junket for the film today, so maybe we’ll have some more video interviews too …

Isla at the “Rise Of The Guardians” New York Premiere

Isla made a low-key appearance at the New York premiere of Rise Of The Guardians last night, looking chic in a little blue Philip Lim dress with a black Helmut Lang jacket. She was accompanied by co-star Alec Baldwin and their director Peter Ramsey. Unfortunately I have only been able to find one photo from this event so far, which you can see in our Gallery. You can see more at Just Jared, although they have their yellow watermarks on.

I will be on the lookout for more photos from this premiere, so check back soon 🙂

Isla on the cover of Australian In Style

Woooahh, more fantastic Fisher news – Isla is on the cover of the new December issue of Australian In Style magazine! Albeit slightly in disguise – I sense a bit of photoshopping going on? Still, Isla wears a gorgeous dress by J’Aton Couture on the cover, and it is so great to see her on the cover of another big magazine, so we give major props to In Style for that!

The magazine is on news-stands now, so make sure you pick up a copy. Highlights from the interview can be read below, and you can see the cover in our Gallery. I’ll be on the lookout for scans, and if anyone can help me out with providing them that would be fabulous 🙂

InStyle cover girl: Isla Fisher

Unassuming and playful, Isla Fisher has never lost her delightful Aussie charm, despite being based overseas for the better part of a decade. Together with her husband, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, and their two daughters, Olive, 5, and Elula, 2, Fisher splits her time between LA and London. This month she talks to InStyle about her new role in the wickedly funny comedy Bachelorette, and being one half of one of Hollywood’s most intriguing power couples.

In movies like Wedding Crashers, Confessions of a Shopaholic and now Bachelorette, you consistently play extreme women. What draws you to these manic roles?
“I played a bipolar nymphomaniac in Wedding Crashers and now I’m playing a coke whore. I’m just trying to make my dad proud [laughs]. Truthfully, I’ve always enjoyed playing characters that are unusual people. There’s a bunch of actors who can play normal people better than I can. I enjoy it more when I can play someone who exists in a heightened reality, someone a little more wild.”

Additional HQ appearance photos added

Over the past week or so I’ve been adding various additional HQ appearance photos to our Gallery, some of which are HQ versions of pictures we previously had, others are new. The update includes half of the Bachelorette New York premiere pictures being replaced with HQs, a few additional press conference HQs, and a handful more HQs from one of my favourite Isla looks, the Wedding Crashers New York premiere. Click the Last Uploads link below to see them all – as of right now they go back to page 6.

I still have some additional photos from the Rango Los Angeles and London premieres, then all the appearance HQs I have will be uploaded 🙂

EDITED: I have persevered and finished adding the rest of the HQ photos I have from the Rango promotional events in Los Angeles and London! Isla looks fantastic at both, as you probably remember, but the Los Angeles premiere look is definitely one of my all-time favourite looks from her. Again, most of these additional photos are HQ replacements of pictures we previously had in a smaller resolution.

Isla on the cover of Women’s Health magazine!

Great news Isla fans, Miss Fisher graces the cover of the new Winter issue of Women’s Health magazine! I can’t be 100% sure, but I think this is the UK edition. Isla looks fantastic in the new photoshoot, and alongside it is a new interview in which Isla touches on several subjects, including her husband, her body, and her Aussie pals. It’s so exciting to see Isla on the cover of a big magazine again, especially one as different and interesting as Women’s Health!

Below are some released quotes from the interview, and you can see the cover and first two photoshoot pictures in our gallery. I will have scans for you asap.

The magazine hits UK (?) news-stands on Wednesday.

• “After doing that [Wedding Crashers], I had 12 months where I was auditioning three times a day and I didn’t get a single job. That was a real low point. But with hindsight, those movies turned out to be awful, so I dodged a bullet. If I’d got any of them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

• “I never had the chutzpah to just come to LA and make it. I didn’t have that confidence. I’m always surprised when I get a job. I never saw this in my horizon.”

• “I do watch my food. But I’ve been blessed in that I never had any body issues during pregnancy. I loved being able to eat whatever I wanted and the whole experience of giving life. And I never worried about losing the weight afterwards, because breastfeeding burns all the calories up so fast. Breastfeeding – that’s my big slimming secret! That and Spanx. Anytime anyone compliments me on my figure, I’m wearing my Spanx undies.”

• “I’m not actually very good at the maintenance thing. I don’t buff, exfoliate, pluck, rinse, moisturise, suck, bleach, whatever all those women do. I don’t have vajacials. Have you heard of those? It’s like a spa for your vagina!”

(On her fellow Aussie stars) “We can all do the accent really easily. And we all look great in a bikini. Including Russell Crowe – no one pulls off a bikini like Russell. I am sort of friends with them all. I just did a movie with Hugh Jackman [Rise Of The Guardians], and I catch up with Naomi [Watts] whenever I’m in New York.”

(On converting to Judaism) “It takes a couple of years of studying. I’ve always been really into family and food, so culturally it was the right fit for me.”

(On Rango co-stars Johnny Depp and Bill Nighy) “He’s like a magical creature – incredibly funny, clever and nice. It’s sort of as if he’s come from another planet. And Bill Nighy is very warm, gregarious and very talented. He played the snake in Rango and was hilarious on set.”

“Definitely, Maybe” HD Film Screencaptures

Hello Isla fans! I have an Isla-tastic update for you today – thanks to my friend Maria I’ve been able to replace our Definitely, Maybe film screencaptures with fantastic HD ones!! These caps are full HD, as in 1920px wide, and are just gorgeous. This is my 2nd favourite Isla film (behind Confessions!), and Isla is so warm and funny in it, so I loved being reminded of that by looking through these caps. Isla and Ryan Reynolds have such great chemistry together, I really hope they work together again in the future. Remember that these caps do contain spoilers … but really, you should’ve seen the film by now, right?! 😛

I hope you enjoy these screencaps as much as I did. If you did, go and pay Maria a visit after you’ve finished browsing them, to thank her for her hard work for us 🙂
