A couple of months ago, Entertainment Weekly released the first character art for Rise Of The Guardians, along with some information about the characters and the creation of them. Have a read of the main part of the interview with director William Joyce, including the bit about Isla’s role as Tooth Fairy, below, and read the full article at the source linked at the bottom. There’s also another article about the film at The Hollywood Reporter, which talks about the effects of the movie and mentions the reaction of initial screenings to audiences.

I’ve added the Tooth Fairy character art to our Gallery, alongside the posters and a few stills. Normally I wouldn’t add photos that don’t feature Isla herself, but I know some of you are interested to see the animated works.

The article also talks about the release of the first trailer, and you can find that here. Find the official website for the film at

You’d better watch out for DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Rise of the Guardians’ — NEW PICS & TRAILER

Have you ever believed in something so strongly that you made it real?

William Joyce definitely has.

The artist and storyteller, who wrote the books Dinosaur Bob and George Shrinks and did character design for the movies Toy Story and Robots, wanted his daughter, Mary Katherine, and son, Jack, to have no shadow of doubt that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy were real. So he began planting evidence — like a bad cop, or maybe the world’s best dad.

Those efforts have led to a series of books and an upcoming 3-D film from DreamWorks Animation, Rise of the Guardians, in which tough-as-nails versions of childhood icons join forces to combat a Boogeyman named Pitch.

With a new trailer showing off the Nov. 21 movie, Joyce takes a deep dive with EW on the story behind his backstories.

The way Joyce explained it to his own kids, the more faith one has in the existence of what he dubbed The Guardians of Childhood, the more power these protectors have.

I have a really great rare treat for you today! I’ve just come across some HQ photos of Isla at an unknown event in Sydney in the early-mid 90’s that I’ve never seen before. She’s wearing a shiny gold/yellow top and has her unmistakeable sassy grin on full display! I love these photos, and was so happy to find them and share them with you.

These are real rare treats, so I hope you enjoy them 😀

The first official trailer for The Great Gatsby has been released today! It looks suitably lavish, mysterious and intense, I think, and the cast look brilliant. I’m even more excited for this film now! However, I don’t see Isla as Myrtle in this trailer … did you? Big thanks to my friend Lindsey for pointing out Isla in the trailer to me! You have to watch very closely, she’s only shown twice for the tiniest flash. I’ve added HD screencaptures to the Gallery.

You can watch and/or download the trailerin HD at An official website for the film has also been launched at And alongside all this new material is the first official poster, which I will add to our Gallery in a minute (see our ‘Last Uploads’ on the sidebar).

Props to Carey Mulligan Online for the heads-up on the trailer. Watch the trailer below, and leave a comment below if you want to say something about it…

Isla is still in Cannes, and last night attended a Women In Film party hosted by Calvin Klein. Isla looked cute in a little blue dress (probably by Calvin Klein?), and according to reports, spent most of the night with her good friend Naomi Watts! The two some posed together, and says that they “came in like besties” and “were close all night” – so cute!

Photos from the event can be seen in our Gallery:

The Cannes Film Festival began today, and I was surprised to discover that a Q&A for Rise Of The Guardians was held there today, and that Isla was in attendance! Isla and her co-stars Chris Pine and Alec Baldwin, alongside director Peter Ramsey answered questions from the press and talked about their film. During the discussion, Isla called the movie “the Avengers of animation”, and when asked who her guardian is, she joked “the CIA”! She also said (and this is loosely translated):

“In film, the characters fight so that the children of the world continue to accept the legends. Me, I do not have this problem: as my children are brought up in the Jewish tradition, so they do not believe in Father Christmas. That makes the task easier for me.”

Photos from the Q&A can now be seen in our Gallery. Isla looks fabulous as always in a low-cut V neck little black dress.

As I had hoped, Isla attended the world premiere of The Dictator in London on Thursday! She looked beautiful in a silver-blue lace Dolce & Gabanna dress, raspberry patent Dior heels, and super-pretty matching sparkly pink earrings and ring. I love this look on her, and it’s so great to see her all dressed up on the red carpet again, especially to support her husband.

Isla’s make-up artist for the event, Kay Montano, told how she gave Isla her healthy glow:

“My inspiration for Isla’s look was fairytale red carpet chic to accentuate Isla’s classic Celtic ethereal skin and youthful complexion,” says Kay. “To copy the exact look I gave Isla for the global premiere of The Dictator, apply a full coat of St.Tropez Naturals Self Tan Lotion, £26.55, to your body for a subtle, understated glow. Limit the amount of heavy foundation you need by applying St.Tropez Naturals Radiance Self Tan For Face, £21.45, to your cheeks which will add a gentle boost of warmth. The range has been specifically designed for sensitive skin types however, do be bold and use the luxe cream on your legs, arms and décolletage for a sophisticated, dewy finish.”

120+ photos from the premiere have been added to the Gallery, over 90 of which are in gorgeous HQ!

April 29th 2012   Posted by: admin   Leave A Comment have posted a sneak peek look at Now You See Me, including some additional information on the characters, quotes from the cast, and the very first still of Isla in the movie! It’s a short but good read …

Sneak peek: ‘Now You See Me’

Greed has a new, magical enemy: the Four Horsemen.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco star as an all-illusionist supergroup using their powers to steal from the rich and give to the poor in the action film Now You See Me (out Jan. 18).

“They are modern-day Robin Hoods,” says director Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk).

Eisenberg, the group’s leader, plays a sleight-of-hand specialist, Harrelson is a hypnotist/mentalist, Franco is a pickpocket/generalist and Fisher stars as the world’s best-looking escapologist.

She is recruited to the group after showing off her skills with an elaborate stage escape from chains and a water tank.

“So many things can go wrong on something like this,” says Fisher, 36. “And I was doing the scene in high heels.”

Her co-stars have learned the skills of their characters’ professions for the just-completed shoot, which took them to locations in New Orleans, New York, Las Vegas and Paris. Franco, for example, mastered the art of card-throwing. “He takes a regular playing card and slings it with such force that he can cut a banana in half,” Leterrier says.

Harrelson trained under Irish hypnotist Keith Barry and tried to mesmerize cast members including Mark Ruffalo, who plays an FBI agent on the Four Horsemen’s trail.

“Woody tries to hypnotize everyone,” Leterrier says during a break in filming. “Mark actually pretended it worked.”

Isla and the Now You See Me cast and crew have now moved to France, and have been spotted shooting scenes in Paris this week! Isla was seen filming a scene with Woody Harrelson and an unknown male actor, and looked like her character might’ve been in disguise, or at least like she was trying to keep a low profile! I’m getting more and more intrigued by this movie the more we hear about it.

Check out these great new set pics in our Gallery:
