Episode #01: ‘Family Leave’

Surprises greet Michael at the penthouse and Sudden Valley. George-Michael confides in Maeby, who’s trying to avoid Sudden Valley.

Episode #02: ‘Self-Deportation’

For varying reasons, most of the Bluths (even Steve Holt) feel compelled to run off to Mexico. Michael tries to convince Buster to go to the police.

Episode #03: ‘Everyone Gets Atrophy’

The family unites behind Lindsay’s campaign, but Michael senses that something is amiss. Maeby has an idea that George-Michael likes a little too much.

Michael and his son George-Michael bump into each other for the first time since their fight over Rebel, when they discovered they were both dating her. Michael lies to his son about how he ended the relationship –

Rebel: “It’s not gonna work out between us, I just wanted to tell you in person.”
[Narrator] Michael didn’t know why he said the next thing out of his mouth. Maybe it was relief that he didn’t have to break up with her, but for some reason, he came up with….
Michael: “Well if you ever change your mind, I ain’t going nowhere.”

 

Episode #04: ‘An Old Start

Gob acquires a new office for the company with a “premium view.” Michael gets a shock when he returns to a place that holds a lot of memories.

Isla does not appear in this episode.

 

Episode #05: ‘Sinking Feelings’

The Bluths receive/present their award, but it weighs on George Sr. and creates new problems. Michael and George-Michael have a deep conversation.

Michael and George-Michael unknowingly turn up at Rebel’s flat at the same time, with each of them hoping to rekindle their relationship with her. Michael leaves just before Rebel returns back. When Rebel sees George-Michael, she is excited to see him, and is intrigued by the items he has in his bag for her…

George-Michael: “[about Rebel’s chauffeur] Tough guy, but he does a nice job. As do these sex toys I caddishly brought you!”
Rebel: “Wait, what is this used for?!”
[TV spot for a shoe horn]
Rebel: “From TV? Well I can think of another use for it! But I’ve gotta be gone in five minutes, I’ve gotta pick up my son, so it’s gonna have to be a quickie and then we can get out of here!”

 

Episode #06: ‘Emotional Baggage’

Michael attempts to bail out Buster. George-Michael finally meets the Howards, and Ron informs Michael that his plans for the movie have changed.

George-Michael goes to Rebel’s family barbecue with the aim of offending her family so they don’t like him and Rebel breaks up with him. The Howard’s welcome him into their family though, and Rebel offers to lend him some money when he tells her his ‘Fake block’ company is unable to get off the ground because of lack of finances.

George-Michael: “What’s so funny?”
Rebel: “Oh it’s just my family.”
Ron Howard: “Yeah we Howard’s don’t just laugh when things are funny, we laugh when we’re happy!”
Paige Howard: “And when things are uncomfortable too.”
George-Michael: “You mean like when the bad reviews start rolling in, right?”
[Everyone laughs]

Rebel: “Sometimes you just wanna look in your parent’s perfect, sweet, kind faces and just …”
George-Michael: “Punch them?”
Rebel: “Why would you say that?”

Rebel: “I can’t do it tomorrow, I’ve got re-shoots, all the Mexico stuff. And just so you know, my ex-boyfriend will be there, but if I know you’re gonna be here when I get back…”
George-Michael: “Then when you’re back!”
Rebel: “Yes! Wait, wait, what colour’s your hair gonna be, because it’s kind of like kissing your cousin!”

 

Episode #07: ‘Rom-Traum’

George-Michael thinks he’s being lied to by Michael, who thinks he’s being lied to by George Sr. Gob hires guys to help with his “closet conversion.”

George-Michael travels to Mexico, thinking that his father Michael is there with Rebel – George-Michael soon discovers that Rebel is actually filming her re-shoots in Culver City, California.

 

Episode #08: ‘Premature Independence’

As the Second of July parade approaches, Sally steps up her campaign against Lindsay while the Bluths again struggle to keep their stories straight.

Isla does not appear in this episode.
